I read Unpopular Culture by Guvna B in one sitting, simply because each new page is as gripping as the previous one. This book is about each and every one of us, about our inner struggles, the demons we have to face daily and the faith we find within our hearts to keep going forward and become better people.

Guvna B shares his life story in such a transparent and honest way; anyone can relate to his experiences. He tells us about growing up in a council estate, getting involved with reckless youngsters from the block, making important choices, fighting through his problems, and finding faith in God, trusting God with his life.

Reading this book helps a reader realize that all of us make choices and face struggles every day. The difference is in the choices we make and what influences us. Guvna B grew up in a Christian family and it took him some time to realize that faith is what truly guides our hearts and souls. As he matured, Guvna B grew more involved with church and enrolled in university. He became a grime/rap artist and eventually dated the girl of his dreams. He describes his experience with such openness.

He soon realized that his true calling was to spread the word of God, and his book became part of that mission.
