Full Time Fundraising Research Assistant, SPCK, London

Our award-winning CEO, Sam Richardson, has big plans for expanding our mission programmes in schools, prisons and churches, so we’re looking to recruit a bright, energetic, enthusiast to join our team so we can make it happen.

We are a small and close-knit fundraising team, so you will make a really make a big difference and learn a lot about different aspects of fundraising and charity work, including helping run prestigious events in high-profile places. You will work alongside our Fundraising Assistant and report to our Partnerships Director, Primavera Quantrill, an experienced trainer and mentor, so this is a really good opportunity for personal development. Senior Book Cover Designer

 SPCK, the Specialist Consumer Publisher of the Year 2017 and 2018 in the Independent Publishing Awards, has a fantastic role for a Senior Designer to join its Art Department.

 You will have a standout portfolio with proven experience designing covers, combined with a love of books. This is a great opportunity to develop your talent and creativity across a wide range of books: from biographies to mindfulness, theology to fiction and self-help to children’s.

 You should have excellent communication and organisation skills, be calm and efficient working to tight deadlines and be competent using Adobe Creative Suite.

Finance Director (Part-time / Full-time)

SPCK is a charity whose mission is to lead the way in creating books and resources which help everyone to make sense of faith. We are seeking a high-calibre Finance Director to lead our small finance team and play a key leadership role in the organisation.

SPCK has grown significantly in recent years to achieve annual income in excess of £5 million from sales, donations and investments. SPCK was voted Specialist Consumer Publisher of the Year in 2017 and 2018. We are a longstanding Christian charity founded in 1698.

The existing Finance Director will retire in September 2018. The current finance team consists of an FD, a full-time accountant, and a part-time accounts administrator. We are looking to recruit either a part-time FD who could recruit an additional accountant to the team, or a full-time FD.
We would expect the FD to be a commercially savvy qualified accountant and a good communicator who will play a key role on SPCK’s senior management team. Experience in the publishing sector and/or the charity sector would be beneficial. This role is open to people of all faiths or none. We would encourage applicants who are interested in exploring flexible working patterns.
