New Year, New Website

With the New Year comes a new look - one that, I hope, is a breath of fresh air for returning readers and those new to our books, alike.

Here's what Sam Richardson, our CEO, has to say about the new look:

Our new brand identity has been created as an authentic and compelling way of showing that we are a clear, credible, contemporary Christian voice. It is part of a broader retelling of our vision and mission that we are launching in February 2018. The new website which Aaron has been working on is a key part of this.

I've been working on the website redesign, with our developers Firsty Group for the past 9 months. It's been a joy to work with Firsty Group on such a fundamental project, for SPCK Publishing. Seeing the new designs grow from idea to sketches to finished product has been an exciting, sometimes nerve-racking rollercoaster ride.

All the hard work has paid off. It's now easier than ever to search for our latest books (or even that one obscure red covered book by an author from yesteryear that you saw once in the mid-80s). You can now view all the editions of a book at once - paperback, hardback and ebook. You can even make wishlists.

What's more, navigating through the site is swift and (nearly) pain-free. If you do happen to find any nasty bugs on the new websites, do get in touch on Twitter.

Perhaps, as it is my job, I am a little too excited about the new website (improved search features aren't a thing of elation for everyone).
