John Lennox: Apologetics and Christ’s Return

John Lennox to Address “Apologetics in Light of Christ’s Coming to Restore Creation” at Cambridge Apologetics Conference 2025

Professor John Lennox, a leading Christian apologist and Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University, is internationally renowned for his work on the relationship between science, philosophy, and religion. He is also the author of several influential and bestselling books published by SPCK.

We’re delighted to announce that Professor Lennox will be delivering a live Zoom presentation at the Cambridge Apologetics Conference 2025.

His talk, titled “Apologetics in Light of Christ’s Coming to Restore Creation”, will take place on Saturday 28 June at 16:30 BST, streamed live from St John’s College, Old Divinity School, Cambridge.

Lennox will examine how the Christian hope in Christ’s return and the renewal of creation can shape our apologetic response in a world wrestling with scientific, cultural, and ethical challenges.

God, AI and the End of History — Coming July 2025

Releasing in July from SPCK, John Lennox’s forthcoming book, God, AI and the End of History, explores the ethical and theological challenges raised by artificial intelligence and transhumanism. He asks: can humanity build a future without God, or are we already witnessing the limits of that vision in light of biblical hope?

God, AI & The End Of History

Could artificial intelligence and transhumanism prepare the way for the Antichrist?
John Lennox offers a fresh and urgent look at Revelation’s message in light of the technological age. Countless books have explored the meaning of Revelation, but this one breaks new ground. Drawing on respected interpreters of the past, Lennox also asks a bold new question: Could a supernatural force opposed to God be using advanced AI to drive a transhumanist vision of upgraded humanity?

Some scientists predict superintelligences that may rule over humans, others warn of Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) achieving global control. Lennox argues that these developments could deceive billions, manipulated by the one the New Testament calls ‘the Antichrist.’

This wide-ranging and thought-provoking commentary challenges readers to re-examine Jesus’ final message through the lens of AI, biblical prophecy, and the future of the world.
