We’re delighted to share that SPCK has been named Specialist Consumer Publisher of the Year and winner of the Virtusales Metadata Award at the Independent Publishing Awards 2025.

The awards were announced at a gala event on 30th April at London’s OXO Tower, hosted by broadcasters Brigid Nzekwu and Andrew Verity.

A Legacy of Purpose-Driven Publishing

Founded in 1698, SPCK is the UK’s third-oldest publishing house. Over the past decade, we’ve grown into the largest Christian publisher in the UK through the 2015 merger with Inter-Varsity Press (IVP) and the 2021 acquisition of Lion Hudson.

These latest awards are a testament to our continued growth and innovation—especially in publishing strategy and metadata excellence.

What the Team Had to Say
