His recent books include Bearing True Witness: Truthfulness in Christian Practice (Eerdmans, 2011), and, as co-editor, An Eerdmans Reader in Contemporary Political Theology (2011). Dr Hovey holds a degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego and a PhD in Christian theology and ethics from the University of Cambridge.
