Of all the great spiritual teachers, none has had a greater influence on the world than Jesus. This beautiful book brings together some of his most profound and memorable sayings, accompanied by expert commentary from Tom Wright and featuring paintings by some of the world's greatest artists.

'Why is Jesus such an extraordinary teacher? His followers, then and now, regard him as the Son of God. But these teachings are not lofty pronouncements, detached from real life. This is astute wisdom of the highest class. . . Take time, then, over this book. Roll the phrases around your mouth. Taste their subtle flavour; refresh yourself with the freedom and love they contain.'
Tom Wright
