REFORC

We are delighted to be a part of the Tenth Annual REFORC Conference on Early Modern Christianity this year (6th-8th May 2021)! The conference will examine the cultural, social, and theological issues that shaped the Reformation from 1400 to 1800 in Europe.

The event will be split up into three lectures: Long Reformation and Historical Writing, Social History and the Benefits of Long Reformation and Mutimediality and Fine Arts. We are also proud to be featuring books from IVP USA, Crossway, St Vladimir’s Seminary Press and Baker across the UK and Europe! These leading US-based publishers all produce high quality, engaging books to serve the needs of Christians everywhere.

At this virtual book fair, you can explore our specially curated list from SPCK and IVP; books such as ‘Martyrdom. Why martyrs still matter’ (Catherine Pepinster), ‘The Story of the Church’ (Allan M Harman, A M Renwick), ‘The Mayflower Pilgrims. Sifting Fact from Fable’ (Derek Wilson), ‘Thomas More A Very Brief History’ (John Guy), ‘William Tyndale: A Very Brief History’ (Melvyn Bragg), ‘Johann Sebastian Bach. A Very Brief History’ (Andrew Gant), ‘Immanuel Kant. A Very Brief History’ (Anthony Kenny), ‘Reformation Myths Five Centuries of Misconceptions and (Some) Misfortunes’ (Rodney Stark) and ‘History and Eschatology. Jesus and the Promise of Natural Theology’(NT Wright).

We are also excited to announce that our author, Alec Ryrie, will be a part of the Topic Plenary Lectures. We will be presenting his book ‘The English Reformation’, a concise historical introduction to the Reformation in England and its continuing influence on the world and how we see it.

We also have a selection of titles from our partner IVP available here
